We are very excited to be sharing news of the newly released TD50 from Roland. As longtime supporters of Roland products and all the V-Drum models (we’ve been very fortunate to sell a hefty amount of Roland kits overe the years!) we are were really looking forward to getting some of these brand new units into the hands of our customers.
These new kits are continuing to bridge the gap between acoustic and electronic and focus on giving drummers the feel and response they crave. And now with the TD-50 Drum Sound Module as the centerpiece, the Roland TD-50 Electronic Drum Kits elevates the expressiveness and playability to a new level. All new sounds have more realism, natural resonance, clarity and a wider dynamic range to capture every nuance of the player’s technique.

Some of the exciting features in the new Roland TD 50 are as follows:
– 14” acoustic snare; finally a full size real size snare drums folks!
– 18” ride, so there’s no longer a disconnect between what you hit, feel, and hear
– “New look”; yes, they now sound and look like real drums!
– New Module with Roland’s Patented “Dynamic Prismatic Sound Modeling”

Plus, these extra features:
– Record to DAW, The TD50 module has a USB out that sends multiple audio drum tracks (up to 10 channels) to your favorite sequencer; very useful in studio world.
– Play WAV Files. Want your Low Tom to make the sound of your grandmother sneezing? Record her while she’s not looking, stick it on your SD card and away you go!
– Balanced outputs. There’s nothing that says “pro” more than proper XLR balanced outputs. These are supplanted by 8 direct outs on TRS connectors for a more sophisticated and tweak-able “live” sound.
