The MDD (Machined Direct Drive) pedal is the first-ever DW direct drive pedal and the only direct drive pedal on the market featuring Floating Rotor Technology™. The result is quick, smooth, responsive and yes, powerful attack.
Packed with a slew of drummer-friendly features, the MDD is machined from solid aluminum and is the result of years of painstaking design and engineering. One of DW’s goal was to offer players unprecedented feel and versatility, whether they currently play a direct drive pedal, or not We’ve been waiting patiently for the singles and doubles to arrive and upon our first inspection, they certainly live up to the hype.
The linkage is super smooth. The beater action is amazingly effortless. The look (always important!) is sleek and very well designed. There are some pretty sophisticated stuff included in this pedal, but what this all boils down to is an extremely high-end pedal with tons of adjustability and top-notch craftsmanship from a company that knows a thing or two about pedal manufacturing!
